SJMAA offers two basketball programs for girls and boys K through 8th Grade.
-Training League/Instructional – K-2nd Grade
-CYC – 3rd–8th Grade
All participants are provided shirts/jerseys and shorts. Family uniform fees are required for 3rd – 8th Grade.
Registration usually opens in October for three weeks. Late fees could apply after initial registration period.

3rd-8th Grade CYC Basketball usually has teams at every grade level. Practices usually begin in late November. The 3rd-8th grade teams participate in the Southeast CYC League.
K-2nd Grade Training League/Instructional Basketball
Instructional Basketball is in “in-house” league for boys and girls in Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade. The purpose of this league is to instruct smaller children in the rules of the game and to develop basic basketball skills. The teams are co-ed (siblings play on the same team). Basketball rims are lowered to 8 feet. One hour practice/games on Saturdays in Nov / Dec. One game per week for 5 weeks. Season begins November and ends in December.
