How are your gardening skills? 5th Easter B 2018
I’m not much by way of a gardener. I can grow herbs, but apparently that takes the same skill set as growing weeds.

If your house was on fire, and you had time to save only ONE possession before the flames engulfed it, what would you choose? 4th Easter B
So, what would you save from that proverbial burning building? If you knew you could get in and out safely, (and all the humans and pets were safe) I would take my guitar. Now, let’s up the ante.

Do you believe in alternate/parallel universes? Divine Mercy Sunday 2018
Stephen Hawking, one the greatest minds in theoretical physics, passed away on March 14th of this year. Since then, I have caught snippets of interviews on NPR about some of his thought on parallel universes. Apparently there is at least a theoretical possibility of multiple alternate universes.

My brother Joe shared a true story with me that helped me to understand the sound of Easter. It seemed that three weeks ago it was the second graders’ turn to do the readings at their all school Mass.

What do you see when you see…. Good Friday, 2018
Some see only the wounds. They are drawn to the scars and nail prints and blood and scourges – because their own lives are marked with that pain and suffering. Some are drawn to the face – to look into those eyes – hoping to find forgiveness or love or understanding
