Standards-Based
Grading

Since 2005, St. Justin the Martyr School has been an Archdiocesan leader in standards-based grading. Standards-based grading evaluates students’ progress in mastering specific learning goals called standards. Standards-based grading provides superior feedback for our students to help them understand “what they know and don’t know.”

ACADEMICS

Sacrament Preparation

Our Sacramental Preparation Program guides young minds on their spiritual journeys. Second graders embark on a path to receive their First Reconciliation and Communion, and later on in their school career, students will prepare for Confirmation in eighth grade. At the heart of our program is a commitment to nurturing the spiritual development of each individual. With specialized curriculum tailored to their age, we aim to foster understanding, reflection, and a deeper connection to their faith.

FAITH FORMATION

Classroom Aides and Resources

With dedicated aides in all of our primary classrooms, our student-teacher ratio is 9:1 at this level, allowing for more individualized learning opportunities to meet students’ needs.

PERSONALIZED LEARNING

Enrichment and Makerspace

Embark on a journey of enrichment at St. Justin Martyr, where opportunities for growth and creativity abound. Our state-of-the-art makerspace serves as a hub for hands-on exploration, encouraging students to unleash their innovative potential.

EXPERIENCE-BASED LEARNING

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd

Our program is growing! With new atrium space and ongoing catechist formation, we currently offer CGS through third grade, and are looking toward adding more levels and opportunities for students to grow closer to Jesus with this internationally renowned program.
