Klondike Derby 2019: High Adventure Reindeer Games
Members of Troop 116 participated in Klondike Derby, an outdoor activity which encourages teamwork and physical fitness. There were sled races, sandcastle building, obstacle courses and more. Troop 116 won the cooking competition with their homemade soup! See some photos.

Pack 116 News: Bike Hike and Welcome Girls!
The Pack 116 Bike Hike was attended by 11 Scouts and their families at Route 66 State Park last Saturday. And Pack 116 has its first girls den. Three young ladies joined as Tigers. #ScoutMeIn

Scouts Attend Encounter Weekend Retreat
Scouts from Troop 116 attended this retreat which focused on the challenge of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati to “strive for the highest goals.” There was live praise and worship music, Eucharistic adoration and reconciliation under the stars, and outdoor mass. See some photos.

Fun in the Sun in June at Cub Scout Camp
Cub Scouts is for boys and girls in Kindergarten through 5th grade. In June, our SJM Cub Scouts hiked into the mud cave, learned about life saving skills in the pool, cooked over coals at their campsite, climbed a rappelling tower, learned some new knots, and earned a STEM award. See some photos.

SJM Scout Attends National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT)
“At NYLT I learned about teaching others, conflict resolution, finding your vision and setting goals. I had fun meeting new friends, cooking my own meals, camping and playing team building games. I will use my new skills to help make the troop run better and plan better.”

Eagle Scout Project Benefits Our Little Haven
John Murphy completed his Eagle Scout project on June 16 at Our Little Haven on Lindell Blvd. Our Little Haven is a safe, secure and healing environment for children impacted by abuse, neglect, and mental or behavioral health needs.
