With Halloween, All Saints’ Day, and All Souls’ Day approaching, this week’s FORMED selections offer some timely viewing.
This week’s featured programs include:
Have you ever wondered where Halloween fits into the Catholic faith? What Catholics Believe About Halloween looks at the Christian roots of the holiday, its connection to All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day, and the history behind familiar Halloween customs. Dr. Ben Akers also considers how Catholics can celebrate Halloween faithfully.
Eternal Rest: The Art of Dying Well turns to questions that eventually touch every family. What happens when we die? What does Scripture teach about death? How should Christians prepare for eternal life? This series explores Catholic teaching about death, dying, and the hope of the life to come.
The week also includes Who Is St. Jude? Dr. Tim Gray and Dr. James Prothro introduce this lesser-known apostle, whose feast day is October 28 and who has long been associated with difficult and seemingly hopeless causes.
St. Justin Martyr parishioners have free access to these programs through our parish FORMED subscription. Visit the FORMED website and select St. Justin Martyr Parish when signing up.
