Soul Sisters: Eating and Drinking with the Saints

By

During November, we remember the Communion of Saints. How better to celebrate than to enjoy the feasts, foods and drinks that they inspired? We will savor a variety of mainstay bites, sweets, and sips that were inspired or enjoyed by some of our favorite saints. Our sample includes:

  • Mostaccioli: St. Francis Assisi
  • Fresh Bread:  St. Elizabeth of Hungary
  • Lemon Infused Olive Oil: St. Simeon
  • Asparagus Spears, Mushrooms & Garlic:  St. George
  • Hummus: St. Sharbel Makhluf
  • Cheesecake: St. Ignatius of Loyola
  • Strawberries & Cream: Assumption of Mary
  • Chocolate Eclairs: St. Therese of Lisieux
  • Madeleines: St. Mary Magdalene
  • Cafe Au Lait:  Holy Name of Mary
  • French Bordeaux: The Annunciation
  • Spanish Red Wine: St. Rose of Lima
  • Sweet Red Wine:  St. Gabriel
  • German White Wine: St. Martin of Tours
  • Budweiser:  St. Louis
  • Wheat Beer: Lammas Day (St. Peter in Chains)
  • Amaretto Sour:  St. John Vianney
  • Water:  St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta
  • Wine + Water:  St. John Paul II
  • Iced Tea: Japanese Martyrs

All women of the parish and their friends are invited. Catch up with old friends and meet some new friends.

We meet at 12:15pm in the Church gathering space.  Our gatherings last about one to two hours.

Donations to defray the cost are welcome.
