Small Christian Community Makes Freezer Meals

One of our Small Christian Communities made chicken pot pies for our Faith in Action freezer meal outreach. Thank you for your contribution to this ministry! Our freezer is well stocked. Now we need the help of the whole parish to give away meals.

How you can help:

Our number one priority right now is to give away some food! If you would like one or more meals to take to a neighbor, relative, or friend, just contact Jeannine or Jane (see below).

What’s in the freezer:

  • chicken pot pie
  • beef lasagna
  • veggie lasagna
  • chicken enchiladas
  • Parmesan chicken bites
  • tater tot and vegetable casserole (side)
  • frozen vegetables (side)
  • homemade bread

If you would like to contribute, we could especially use some cookie dough in the freezer. We don’t have any desserts yet.

Who are the meals for:

  • a friend who just had a baby
  • a caregiver who is sick or needs a break
  • a family experiencing a loss
  • an elderly neighbor
  • a parent having a difficult day
  • a new parishioner who needs to be welcomed
  • anyone you want to send some extra love to

SJM parishioners may contact Jeannine Szatkowski or Jane Cole for more information or to pick up a meal to deliver to someone. If you are not a parishioner and you would like a representative of our parish to bring you a meal and some love, please contact the parish office.
