Would you like to deepen your understanding and appreciation of the Eucharist? St. Justin Martyr will offer a Lectio Bible Study entitled Eucharist: Discovering the Mass in the Bible.
Developed by the Augustine Institute and taught by Dr. Brant Pitre, Research Professor of Sacred Scripture, this video-based program explores what Sacred Scripture and the Sacred Tradition of the Church teach about the Eucharist. The 10-week study will be offered in two five-week sessions, with the first taking place this fall and the second during Lent.
The program begins with an introduction to Lectio, the prayerful reading and reflection on Sacred Scripture. Through Scripture, Sacred Tradition, and Church history, participants will have an opportunity to explore the Eucharist and the Mass more deeply.
The group will meet from 1:00 to 2:30 PM on Thursdays in the Gathering Space.
Part 1: October 15 – November 12, 2026
Part 2: February 11 – March 11, 2027
