Celebrate the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi with a special pet blessing on Sunday, October 4 at 12:15 PM. Families, friends, and pets are invited to gather in the parking lot in front of the church steps for a short prayer service lasting about 15–20 minutes.
Dogs must be kept on leashes, and small animals should be safely secured in cages, boxes, or other appropriate containers. Children are also welcome to bring a picture of a pet that cannot attend. At the conclusion of the prayer service, Fr. Hecktor will sprinkle the pets with holy water.
The third grade class will also be collecting donations to support local homeless animal shelters. Needed items include dog and cat food, collars, leashes, cat litter, toys, blankets, and towels. Collection boxes will be available on the sidewalks during the pet blessing and in the classroom hallway.
Bring your pets, join us in prayer, and help care for animals in need as we celebrate the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi.
