Mary, Mother of the Church and the Peace and Justice Ministry of the Archdiocese of St. Louis invite the community to an Immigration Forum on Saturday, September 12, from 9:00 AM to noon at Mary, Mother of the Church Parish Hall.
Participants will learn about current immigration laws and policies, explore different types of visas, and take part in a simulated experience of navigating the U.S. visa process and pathway to citizenship. The forum will also address the effects of detention and alternatives to detention.
Speakers and facilitators include Marie Kenyon, J.D., Director of the Office of Peace and Justice for the Archdiocese of St. Louis; Annie Aeschbacher of St. Pius V Parish; Cathy Grimer of St. Catherine Labouré Parish; and Noel Barrett of St. Justin Martyr Parish.
The morning will include time for questions and conversation with immigration experts. Light snacks will be served.
