Pastor’s Message – Easter 2022

Dear Beloved parishioners,

We continue to celebrate the octave of Easter – each day being a celebration of the Lord’s resurrection.  And though there is much to celebrate, allow me just TWO picture from our Easter Vigil celebration.

This Sunday, besides being the Octave of Easter and Divine Mercy Sunday, also finds the Archdiocese kicking off our Annual Catholic Appeal.  You will find your pledge card on the tables in the gathering space, either before or after all the Masses this weekend.

Mass in the chapel on Tuesday nights is BAAACK!

So, after a long, pandemic induced hiatus, we will resume Mass and Perpetual Help Devotions in the Rectory Chapel on Tuesday nights at 7pm.  Mask wearing, as in the main church, is optional.  Fr. Johnson will be the chief celebrant, as this allows him an extra day to stay at his place in Innsbrook.  (There should be perks to retirement.  This is one of them for him…)

Mark your calendars for the Day of Service.

On Saturday, May 7th is our annual Day of Service! We will have lots of mulching and yardwork taking place on the parish grounds. We will have a kids corners and activities for people that cannot participate with yardwork in the gym! This is a great day for people of all ages to come together and build community! Please let us know if you have any tools to bring, special skills to contribute or fun projects that could be completed with a group of volunteers! Please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up. Thank you!

Day of Service

As in other years, we will conclude with 5pm Mass, and following Mass there will be at least ONE food truck (Lily’s Café and Ice Cream truck) and the chance to BYOB or BYOE and hang out with one another in the upper parking lot…

Finally, I was informed that we ‘missed a classic hymn” that many people have enjoyed praying with on Good Friday, but because of the differing Musicians, it was not played.  So, without further ado, here it is:

Christ has no body but yours….

Blessings,

 Fr. Bill
