Dear Beloved Parishioners,
This will be a short missive with two items..
1) There will be 6:30 Mass on Thursday Feb 3(because I just have to walk across the pathway between church and school). And, as always, it will be live streamed. What I can’t know is the condition of the sidewalks for that. Forecasts call for snow to resume between 1 and 2 am and not stop till 1 or 2 pm. Because of that timing and ongoing snow, it will be difficult for the plows to keep the parking lot clear. And difficult for our staff to clear the sidewalks while the snow is still falling. Choose accordingly.
I am not asking Fr. Johnson to walk across the untreated sidewalks (especially on his BIRTHDAY – [hint, hint – call him and wish him well!]) So there will NOT be an 8am Mass on Feb. 3rd.
2) The snow is projected to be out of here Thursday afternoon, and Friday and Saturday are clear and sunny, though cold. But it will be WARM at the Celebration of Blessings at the Holiday Inn, Route 66. Two things about that -1) There are still a FEW tickets available, but when they are gone this time, they are gone. cob2022.givesmart.com. 2) The bidding on the LIVE AUCTION ITEMS is OPEN. (You will note when you are on the site that there are Raffle ticket items. Oral Auction Items and LIVE AUCTION items.) So, bid early, bid often. (you can set your phone/computer/ipad to give you reminders when the bid on a specific item has a new bid, and then you have the choice to raise yours… So, bid early, bid often, bid high, as we celebrate all God has done for us and calls us yet to do…
