Founder’s Scholarship

Each year St. Justin Martyr Athletic Association awards the Founder’s Scholarship to two (2) St. Justin Martyr Parish School 8th Grade students that will continue their education at a Catholic high school.

Founder’s Scholarship recipients are recognized at SJM Parish School graduation in May. The $500 award will be sent directly to the recipients selected Catholic high school.

Recipients of the SJMAA Founder’s Scholarship are selected by the SJMAA Board based upon a South County CYC Scholarship Application, two (2) letters of recommendation and an 8th Grade First Semester Report Card.

There is also a South County CYC Scholarship which is awarded to students from member parishes across the South County CYC District at a banquet typically held in April. SJMAA’s Board will submit one 8th grade student from SJM School to be considered for this $500 award.

South County CYC Scholarship Applications are typically available in January. Communication regarding SJMAA Founder’s Scholarship and deadlines for submission will begin shortly thereafter.

Founder’s Scholarship Award Winners are recognized on a plaque in the atrium of the Parish Center.
