Our August 6 Faith in Action Day of Service centered around organizations that provide mental health services and or for some of those population of people who experience higher mental health concerns such as veterans, the elderly, post-partum mothers and those suffering from substance abuse and homelessness. We had a variety of onsite service projects and education opportunities located in the Gym after the 11:00 mass. The Knights of Columbus also hosted a BBQ during this time and the Athletic Association worked on some outdoor projects. The goal of this service day was to build unity among or own parishioners while serving those with mental health concerns. During the week of August 6 th to August 13 th there were also a handful of offsite projects and experiences which gave a more hands on approach to volunteering.
