“It’s not enough to love, people have to feel that they are loved.” – Saint John Bosco
Are you ready to make your faith come alive? Faith in Action is a new organization at St. Justin which strives to understand and apply the social teachings of the church in order to effect positive change and be the face of God to everyone we encounter. We will do this by building relationships, promoting unity, bringing awareness to issues, and actively engaging with our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Our kickoff event will be on Saturday, May 6 from noon to 4:30PM. We are inviting all parishioners to a day of service. The day will conclude with 5PM Mass, followed by food trucks and fellowship. Sign up for a service project online. This day takes a lot of coordination so we appreciate you signing up early. If you would like to request a specific project, please sign up by May 1st. Volunteers who sign up after May 1st or who walk in on the day of the event will be placed at a project based on need.
Mark your calendar. Bring your entire family. Be ready to serve.
“Our job is to love others without stopping to inquire whether or not they are worthy. That is not our business and, in fact, it is nobody’s business. What we are asked to do is to love, and this love itself will render both ourselves and our neighbors worthy.” – Thomas Merton
